BLOOMINGTON, IN – Prospective members of the illustrious Lake Monroe Sailing Association gathered en masse to prove they have what it takes to look amazing on a boat.

It was Cape Cod meets Dad Bod at the annual call-out meeting where potential members seek to join the association by parading themselves before a discerning audience comprised of elite benefactors of Southern Indiana’s Nantucket.

“I just feel like Jackie O.,” said a gushing Jasmine Hooper. “I hope and pray these fine people let me into their exclusive company.”

The Lake Monroe Sailing Association is a marine institution on Indiana’s largest reservoir, boasting 100 wet slips that are home to the state’s most luxurious collection of sailboats.

“This is an event we look forward to every single Fall,” said Association Board Chair Craig Langley. “Folks come out in their pastels and khakis and really put on a good show for those of us deciding on the next crop of members.”

The event concluded after cocktail hour took place beneath a picturesque sunset, fit for a Rhode Island postcard.
