BLOOMINGTON, IN – An episode of a popular paranormal show was cut short when the crew inadvertently summoned the angry spirit of legendary coach Bob Knight who proceeded to berate the team for their lack of fundamentals and preparation.

Ghost Adventures is a long-running program that follows host Zak Bagans and his squad of investigators as they research and hunt down the supernatural at haunted location across America and beyond.

In a newly released episode, Zak and his team visited the Indiana University campus to investigate rumors of dark spirits and disturbing encounters with violent ghosts. It was when they started to explore Assembly Hall that the pursuit took an unexpected and perilous turn.

“I can tell you this, I’ve been hunting malevolent spirits for over twenty years,” said a visibly shaken Zak Bagans. “Coach Knight is by far and away the most frightening and intimidating ghost I’ve ever conjured.”

The Ghost Adventures team was capturing EVPs, or Electronic Voice Phenomenon, when the unmistakable guttural growl of an irritated Bob Knight can be heard coming through on the voice recorders.

“Hey, hey you, what the hell are you ladies doing in my gym?!” snapped Coach Knight. “You think you can bring your scrawny asses onto Robert Montgomery Knight Court dressed liked that with second rate cameras and pathetic execution?? This ain’t Mackey Arena.”

Bagans and the crew were caught off guard and attempted to disarm Knight by lauding his career and pointing up to his three National Championship banners. The flattery, however, only seemed to escalate the situation as the translucent specter of Knight took full form. The coach was donning a trademark sweater and a whistle could be seen between his terse, tightly pursed lips.

“Now that we’ve established you don’t belong, get on the line and start running,” bellowed a clearly in his element Knight. “Down and back until I see you puking up yesterday’s lunch.”

It was at that moment, Bagans directed the crew to abort the mission and head to the exit.

“We all looked at each other and understood it was time to go, and leave fast,” said investigator Aaron Goodwin. “Coach Knight was about ten seconds away from grabbing one of us by the throat or beating us with chairs. I’ve never been more scared for my life on a ghost hunt.”

The episode ended, but the speculation has just begun. Rumors are already swirling that incoming men’s basketball coach Darian DeVries is conducting séances in hopes of communicating with Knight ahead of the season to learn from the legend himself: The General.
