BLOOMINGTON, IN – Famed rocker John Mellencamp is speaking out about his breakup with actress Meg Ryan.

Mellencamp sat down for an interview with Rolling Stone and criticized Ryan’s role in the hit 90’s movie ‘You’ve Got Mail.’

“She was just awful,” said Mellencamp. “Fair or not, every time I looked at Meg all I could see and hear was her whining about book sales and cyber-sexing Tom Hanks.”

The Southern Indiana favorite son went on to say Ryan’s acting in the movie ultimately killed the romance and caused them to part ways.

“I’m typically the forgive and forget type,” said Mellencamp. “But there are some things people can’t take back. For Meg, ‘You’ve Got Mail’ is simply unforgivable.”
