BLOOMINGTON, IN – An unruly three year old nearly ruined dinner for his family and all in the restaurant as he mowed down each item on the table like a uniquely skilled mercenary.
Little Theo Harris was a terrifying combination of tired and hungry when his family entered the College Mall Applebee’s. His parents insisted on dragging him from store to store as they got an early start on holiday shopping.
It was clear even as they waited to be seated that Theo was destined to make a mockery of the table and absolutely no one was going to stand in his way.
“He was inevitable,” said his father Henry. “That look in his eyes, the redness in his face, everything pointed to absolute destruction of anything that stood between Theo and some chicken tenders.”
The Harris’ were eventually seated and the situation deteriorated within seconds as Theo first thrashed the sugar packet holder then moved on to the salt and pepper shakers.
“It was incredibly embarrassing,” said his mother Janet. “Theo could not be stopped and I think we only had ourselves to blame for making him shop until he nearly literally dropped.”
The crescendo came as the server placed lidless ice waters on the table. Theo immediately advanced on the waters and with wild eyes grabbed a glass and spiked it so hard onto the floor that shoppers four stores away felt the impact.
It was only after a cocktail of crayons and a tenders and fries kids meal that Theo settled down and returned to his non-violent self.
