BLOOMINGTON, IN – A racing legend in holographic form will be competing in the spring season at Bloomington Speedway.

Die hard fans will be treated to a hologram of Earnhardt racing on the dirt track with the help of AI technology.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to have Dale at the track,” said speedway owner Brett Bowlen. “The fans are gonna love seeing The Intimidator finally rubbin’ bumpers again!”

Earnhardt was tragically killed in a wreck on the final lap of the 2001 Daytona 500.

Widely considered the best and most popular NASCAR drive in history, Earnhardt still has plenty of loyal fans.

“This is unbelievable,” said fan Billy Russell. “I’ve cried once in my life and it was when Dale died. God needed a driver, man.”

The speedway is expecting a record crowd with attendees coming from all over the world.

“You just can’t overstate Dale’s impact on racing and his massive popularity,” said Bowlen. “We’re not even sure if we have enough space here to hold everyone.”

Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is playing a critical role in the return of Dale Earnhardt. The likeness, driving style, attitude, and even voice have all been accurately replicated using thousands of hours of racing and personal life video.

“It’s impossible, but it’s happening,” said lead AI engineer Carey Grimes. “This took countless time and unmatched precision, but Dale is definitely back.”

Opening night is April 5, 2024. Tickets are on sale, including a VIP meet and greet with the hologram.
