BLOOMINGTON, IN – A new residential developer is entering the Bloomington market and has something to say about the quality of newer, less expensive building materials.
Silas Asher started ‘Analog Homes’ to disrupt the current home construction model of utilizing cheaper and lower quality components.
Asher insists on only using vinyl siding to finish a new build.
“These guys in the game now just want to get in and get out and make as much money as possible,” said Asher. “For me, the warm and luscious feel of traditional vinyl siding beats the thin, manufactured modern junk any day of the week.”
Analog Homes sources the vinyl from a boutique pressing shop in Asheville, North Carolina. ‘LP Press Shoppe’ has seen a steady uptick in interest as a newer generation of builders reject what they see as shortcuts that compromise home structure integrity.
“It’s all about authenticity and tradition,” said LP Press Shoppe owner Lennox Finley. “I press vinyl siding for builders with discriminating taste and an affinity for a bygone era of producing a product that delivers top-shelf ambience, regardless of cost.”
Asher and Analog Homes hope Bloomington appreciates the new yet traditional and purist approach to providing housing.
