INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The most awarded swimmers in human history celebrated the birth of a new baby girl who is sure to follow in the illustrious footsteps of her parents.
Lilly King, the Indiana University phenom, and Michael Phelps shared pictures on social media of the baby, which was miraculously born with perfectly webbed feet and a set of gills for breathing during prolonged periods under water.
“We are absolutely in love,” said King. “She’s so precious and clearly destined to dominate the sport of swimming. I just can’t wait to get her in the water and turn her loose!”
Doctors were speechless as she exited the birth canal. They credit the elite physical capabilities of her parents and the natural process of evolution for the flawlessly webbed toes and already functioning gills.
“I’ve never in my life seen anything this advanced,” stated Dr. Beth Newsome. “I mean, I’ve seen extraordinary lung capacity and larger than average height and weight, but never physical features that mirror marine life to allow for superhuman feats while in the water.”
The International Olympic Committee is already debating whether or not the unprecedented features will be allowed in future competitions.
